the best trip of my life would be greece.
not very graceful but we looked genuinely delirious.
nea kamena (greek volcano) -inspired. without the salmon, the lettuce flew. none of us would ever chance upon such generous portion of smoked salmon for a dish of salad, if not in fira, santorini.
how i missed this place immensely.
sigh....
another replacement spotted in singapore.
Blu Kouzina Pte Ltd

it was opened by a Greek couple, flying the authentic greek flavours, spices, ingredients and the great Greek olive oil, all the way from greece to singapore. the restaurant is of two-storey high, located in a residential area. the interior of the restaurant spells the originality of the signature greek building, splashing with just main cozy colours of blue and white, i felt instantly - in greece/ santorini/ mykonos - once again.
complimentary bread
condiments like salt, paprika, olive oil for bread
salad with feta cheese
feta cheese is one of the must-have for greek food. the green salad was tossed liberally with their signature olive oil and topped with that visibly huge cube of feta cheese, so huge that it was adequate for each spoonful of salad till we licked the plate clean.
lentil soup
slow cooked to perfection. it was thick in consistency. and closely resembled to our asian green bean dessert.
grilled squids with lemon and extra virgin oil
divine. enough said
beef kalamaki
Mousaka - oven baked eggplant with potatoes, mincemeat and bechamel sauce on top
the combination, eaten while it was piping hot, was splendid
moo-moo's verdict: i will be back for just one thing - grilled squids. probably one more - mousaka. probably one more, sometihng new, greek macaroni.... i love this restaurant for another fact that they vowed not to serve pre-cooked food. their belief and promise in the freshly made food with ingredient fastidiously picked from greece have more or less guaranteed us the high quality greek food. it could get a little crowded for lunch. so reservation is very much needed.
